MATERIAL EXPRESS CORPORATION LAUNCHES PRICE WAR!
Carlsbad, CA - November 4, 2002 - Material Express Corporation
announced today that, for a limited time, it has substantially lowered
the price of its APeX price updating service. Through November 30,
2002, electrical distributors can take advantage of the increased
service and lower costs that Material Express offers.
According to Barry Mester, President of Material Express,
"We are offering a special introductory rate for APeX in
order to rapidly gain market share as well as to prove to
the industry that APeX is the best pricing service on the
market today. We believe in providing distributors a
choice in updating services. To encourage distributors to
take a closer look at APeX, we have dramatically lowered the
price which enables a user to purchase with a minimum of
risk. For decades, distributors have had two options:
either PFMS(TM) from Trade Service Corporation, or manual
updating. With the launch of APeX this year, electrical
distributors now have a viable choice."
The APeX database contains over one million material items from
over four hundred thirty major electrical manufacturers. APeX includes
the manufacturer-established prices for distributor cost, list price,
column 1, column 2, and column 3 (end-column or Trade price). Also
included in the database are improved item descriptions, units of
measure, and UPC (Universal Product Code) numbers, and UNSPSC codes
Unlike other services, APeX includes a 7 digit price field, enabling
customers with appropriate "back office" software to receive prices
in excess of $10,000. Weekly updates are provided by Floppy, CD
ROM, or FTP (Internet) downloads. APeX is certified as compatible
with all major electrical distributor business system.
Material Express, Carlsbad, CA, is a sister company of Vision
Infosoft Corp, established in 1993. Vision now has over 7,000 electrical
contractor customers. Material Express was established in 1999 to
work with distributors. The initial product offering was OrderExpress,
